A task execution is one task — regardless of how many steps, tool calls, or retries Ploton performs to complete it. A simple API call and a complex multi-step workflow both count as one task.
The prototyping plan gives you full API access with unlimited task executions, but all requests are scoped to a single demo user. This means you can build and test your entire integration for free, but you cannot use it for real end-users in production.
Failed tasks are not billed. You only pay for tasks that complete successfully.
Prepaid credit packs are valid for 12 months from purchase. Unused credits after 12 months roll over at 50% value into a new pack.
Yes. Prepaid credits are consumed first. Once your pack is exhausted, additional tasks are billed at the standard $0.75/task rate. If you purchase another prepaid pack within 15 days, we will honour the prepaid rate and refund the $0.75 charges — just reach out to support.
